AFTERCARE PRODUCES A SHOW TO BE REMEMBERED!

Our Aftercare Program, under the direction of Maria Henwood and an incredible staff, produced an amazing song and dance show for all the aftercare parents in honor of Mother's Day on Thursday.  This production was an example of the many enriching experiences this staff creates for their students on a weekly basis here at Imagine Weston.  I am proud of this service we can provide for our families, and grateful for the high quality experiences Mrs. Henwood and her staff produce.

 PRINCIPAL'S FITNESS CHALLENGE-IMAGINE WESTON IS FIT!!!!

As inspired by our victory of the Mayor's Fitness Challenge in December and our new 5K Kids Running Club success, the entire student body and staff were challenged by me  to exercise 529,800 minutes  during a recent 6 week challenge window.  I am proud to say that our students and staff  exceeded their goal with 1,027,189 of logged activity minutes!!!  Mrs. Casadevall's Gr 5 class won a bag of PE equipment donated by our partner, Bob Fournier of  I-9 Sports, for logging the most minutes of any class in the school!  We will celebrate with a dance on the field May 11th at 1pm.  Imagine Weston is fit!!!!

GRADE 6 LOTTERY

Thanks to all those who applied for our Grade 6 Lottery.  Winners will be announced as soon as we get the go ahead from our sponsor, the School Board of Broward County. 

S.C.O.R.E  PROVIDES CLASSROOM TECHNOLOGY

Thanks to the generous donations of our S.C.O.R.E sponsors  and the hard work of our PTP, we have purchased 27 interactive projectors for our classrooms.  These incredible teaching tools have built in smart boards that make anything it shines on interactive! 

IMAGINE WESTON'S STATE RANKING

The State DOE announced this week that Imagine Weston ranks 3rd in the state among the 1,795  elementary schools.  This ranking is based on student performance on the Florida Comprehensive Achievement Test and points earned on the school's grading scale.  Click on the link below to learn more!

RELAY FOR LIFE

Please wear PURPLE on Friday, April 13th, in support of our teachers and staff who are participating this weekend in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

This is a fun family event in Weston, held at Cypress Bay High School on Saturday, April 14th starting at 6pm and running all night until about 9am on Sunday morning. Teams will walk and run all night long and partake in fundraising events along with games, raffles, a silent auction, and food. Everyone is invited to come out and support our team – you don’t need to sign up to come by and visit (for 10 minutes or for hours)!
