The 2012-2013 new student lottery for K-5 and grade 6 is open. Application forms can be accessed on our website or through the front office. There will be a grade 6 parent information meeting for all parents interested in Grade 6 on Friday, February 3rd at 9am in the school cafeteria. Our Boosterthon Fun Run fundraising campaign will kick off on Tuesday, January 31st with a student pep rally. The Fun Run is on February 9th. A detailed letter was sent home with students last week describing this fundraiser in detail. Parents are invited to attend both events if they would like. We need as much support as possible to make this 2nd semester foundation campaign to top first semesters S.C.O.R.E. efforts. Our technology refresh and upgrades as well as our textbooks and instructional material needs depend upon it. We need your support!!! Please be mindful that the school day begins at 7:50am. Children are marked tardy if arriving after 8am. Valuable academic time is missed when students arrive late. Emergency vehicles should be able to move through our school parking lot with ease. Please keep our school safe by parking only in designated guest spots in our lot. Violation notices are being issued. For the safety of our campus, all visitors must report to the front office with a photo ID(even if we know you!) and wear a visitor pass badge while on our campus. IT IS THE LAW!! All gates are locked at 8am. Children arriving after that time must be signed in by a parent or guardian. For the safety of our students, there is a staff member monitoring both arrival gates from 7:30am-8am daily. Students only are permitted through these gates. Throughout the school day, contracted workers must enter campus only through the front office. I would like to thank our volunteers who work in the office, clinic, cafeteria, classrooms, special events, and at home to support the faculty and staff in providing the best education possible for all of our students. The Imagine Weston Family is a special community of wonderful people. I am thankful for the opportunity to serve at this incredible school. Sharon P. Schmidt, Principal |
